Gaming has become a very important source of entertainment and adventure in everyone’s life. A little study of game design, markets and gamers can form a base for a good game. Gaming is a combination of creativity and imagination; it should keep the interest of the gamer going till the end. The main purpose of a game designer is to create and develop such a game which has minimum mistakes and is able to attract crowd of all age groups.

Some of the most common mistakes that are seen in today’s gaming world are:

1.    Making the gamer do unnecessary work: one of the mistakes is that as the computer is able to automate many of the book keeping tasks of the player which could be irritating after a while. It’s more irritating when the computer doesn’t automate the tasks which it should.

2.    Forcing the gamers hand too much: this is a mistake made often in the adventurous and strategy games. There is fun in the strategy games specially when its multiplayer, but use of lot of keys at once could be hectic and may lead to the downfall of the game. A lot depends on keys in such games; hence it is counted as a mistake.

3.    Too much of experimenting: sometimes in the process of doing something fresh and different, the game designer end up creating a mess of the game. The expectations of the gamers rise high as they see variety in the market, but once the game comes in the stores everything changes. It can be done well; it takes a light touch, skilled designer and a good study of game design along with a perfect presentation of the game.

4.    Spawning enemies: this is considered as the worst mistake ever of the game designer. A gamer wants something new and different every time he comes across an enemy. The thinking of every gamer is that he expects a tough and intelligent enemy all the time. Spawning enemy is a big mistake which game designers should avoid. This kills the interest of the game as the gamer knows everything about the game. There is nothing new that separates the game from other games.

Avoiding these common mistakes, knowledge and study of game design could be very helpful in designing an attractive game. They may look good initially but during the later stages irritates and kills the interest of the gamer. It is important that game developers realize these flaws since they are very obvious and many hardcore gamers have been grieving about them from long. Rather than simply killing the gaming experience, why not work on the flaws and make the game interesting? Although many new games have been working on these flaws and have come up with much better concepts and designs. It high-time all developers take heed and work towards formulating perfect games.

An expression of feeling, mindset, vision or even a phase, art has always been a mystery, which cannot be defined. With so many modern methods involved in the arts and it forms, it is superb to find newer methods of expression.  Mark Rothko an American artist associates art and its expression with gloom and ecstasy. This is his expression of art though another abstract artist would define it in a different way. The importance of art education is also laying more emphasis on the relationship of art and an artist with contemporary trends.

Another version conveys that art is form of an activity, a conversation with self and also includes other arts like music, enactment and dance. Sculpture and paintings are inclusive too. It is a visual delight and a communicative science, which has intrigue, entertainment and aesthetic interpretations. The modern trend is very subjective and open to various inputs and mindsets that form a subject for debate as to what art really is.

Is an art an expression?

Whether is traditional, contemporary or evolving, art cannot have one specific form. It is a great expression and an evolving field, which has various influences. For some artists, art speaks for itself. It is never imposing or subjecting a person to form an opinion. Art is calm and has a silent communication of its own.

An  art school is now creating new vistas for people who want to explore art in the interesting fields of media and digital art. Some artists find reservations with the computerized digital art with respect to storage problems and unreliable nature of disks. But the world of digital art is certainly creating new paradigms for people to believe and explore. Art is intentional and forms an impression on the mind of the viewer. It is a gift and variations in art reach out to us through several mediums.

Another theory or debate is whether digital art is a different category or not. Photography influences the media and digital art suitably to create a new vision and style that is niche.

Modern viewpoints about art

With the progress made in the world of art, through advertising and publishing, there are several new tenets observed. It is wonderful to find an amalgamation of traditional pieces in art, which are influenced by the digital media. The works on textiles, posters, photography, books and also digital works are impressive with modern inclusions in perfection and color techniques. Using vectors from computers, more works that are precise can be exploited in the traditional art, drawings and paintings. The new age digital art is convincing as it is helping many artists to create a style that is distinct and has a good balance between original art form and modern trends.

Evolving art with technology

The technological revolution has helped many artists in the fields of literature, traditional art, digital art, sculpture, photography and portrait art to have a seamless transition from the traditional art to contemporary styles. Combined with networking, strategy and marketing, the digital media is opening so many opportunities for people to enhance their career in their fields, which is a space of their own.
